HALO ANOMALIES
The following examples are in the Bend Arch area including Coleman County and Jones County. The Meers Microseep Method is a measurement of soil chemistry; therefore, regional soil types determine the type of anomaly seen. The anomalies in the following examples are of the "HALO" type that is due to the "Red-Bed" type soil with a high gypsum content. A "HALO" type anomaly is defined by High Magnetic - Low 40K soil properties (Reducing soil environment) around the field and High 40K - Low Magnetic soil properties (Oxidized soil environment) over the field.
