Dr. Howard "Pete" Renick - Owner, Geophysicist

Pete has a Ph.D. from Indiana University. From 1969-1979 he was employed with Gulf Oil, including Gulf research and development. Dr. Renick started his own consulting practice in 1979 and has been responsible for staking between 800 and 1000 wells based on geo-chemical and seismic data. Dr. Renick led the geophysical team at Gulf research and development that developed 3-D Seismic.
Dr Renick is past president of the Permian Basin Geophysical Society and is a Member of S.E.G., AAPG, EAEG and The Abilene Geological Society. In addition to a number of talks before various societies, he has published papers in Geophysics and Geophysical Prospecting.
Duties include integrating geophysical and geo-chemical data, processing research and company management.

Mr. Monte W. Meers - Owner, Geologist / Geophysicist

Monte has a B.S. in Geology from Texas Tech University. From 1981-1983 he was employed at J.W. Humbard and Associates. He was the Leader of a team of Geologists prospecting the Permian Basin. From 1983-1984 he worked for X-L Energy. From 1985-1996 he was employed for TexAnn Oil and Gas where he preformed prospect Generation and Geophysical Interpretation using Geographix software.
From 1996-1997 Monte worked from Hrubetz Oil Co. Here he preformed prospect generation using Microseep technology, primarily radiometric and magnetic susceptibility. In 1997-1998 he worked for Western Reserves Corp. While he was there, Monte developed the Meers Microseep Method and in 1998 Monte started his own company, Meers Microseep Surveys.
His duties include data integration and interpretation, design and supervision of field procedures and management.

Mr. Don Eckerty - Exploration Geophysicist / Geologist

Don has a B.S. and M.S. in Geology from Indiana University. Don has more than 30 years of petroleum industry experience with both major and independent oil companies. Shell Oil, Getty Oil, Argo, Monsanto, Santa Fe Energy, and Renick and Associates have employed him.
Don has experience in seismic acquisition and interpretation (2D and 3D), seismic crew start up and field-testing, prospect development and evaluation using both geological and geophysical data.
He is past president, first vice president and secretary of the Permian Basin Geophysical Society, past president of the Midland Community Concerts Association and past president of the Midland Suburban Lions Club.
His duties include implementing a broad range of seismic methods with one of his primary focuses being construction of accurate structure maps using seismic data.

Mr. Dave Balogh- Computer and Mathematical Consultant

Dave is a graduate of Indiana University and is a doctoral candidate at the Colorado School of Mines. His work experience includes Chevron Oil Co. and Evergreen Geophysical Co., as well as consulting for several exploration and service companies. His mathematical expertise and extensive knowledge of seismic theory are utilized to develop geo-chemical interpretation programs, complex seismic imaging problems and reservoir characterization.

Mrs. Geri Cooley - Microbiologist

Geri has a B.S. in Biology from Hardin-Simmons University and is currently working towards a M.S. in Environmental Management. As an undergraduate, she worked in the microbiology lab as the head lab assistant where she prepared microbiology medium and apparatus. She is a member of Beta Beta Beta the Biology National Honors Society. She assists in laboratory procedures and conducts microbiological and chemical research.
